It can be hard when you know you want to go travelling but can’t in the near future. Sometimes it’s because you don’t have enough money saved or maybe you’ve booked a trip but it’s not for another six months (in my case). So how can you stay on track and keep yourself motivated? I’ll tell you how. 1. Motivational Videos If there is one thing I have discovered that gives you a motivational high it’s motivation videos. They are so inspiring and honestly; they tell it how it is. A couple of times a week I sit there on YouTube just watching a bunch of different motivational videos just to keep myself going. They are amazing and give me goose bumps!

Facebook Groups I have recently discovered a few Facebook groups that are exclusively about travel or travel blogging. My utterly most favourite one is GLT Facebook group. There is so much on there to read and people are always posting. It’s a group for tips, suggestions, questions, stories and basically anything travel related and is by far the best group I have discovered. The only thing is it's for girls only, sorry boys! 3. Travel Blogs Obviusly travel blogs are a great way to keep motivated and give you resources to help your research. Find a blog that is best related to your travel whether it be backpacking or luxury, SEA or Europe. There is a crazy amount of travel blogs online it’s just a matter of finding the best suited one to you. Here is a list of my favourites. 4. Travel Vlogs Similar to the travel blogs but video’s instead for those whose rather watch than read. I’ve came across a couple of cool vlogs which are so inspiring and make me want to go to Thailand now! They really show the beautiful scenery in countries and different things to do. It's also great for those that would prefer visuals rather than reading. Once again you just need to find the right vlogger that is suited to you. 5. Read Reading is always beneficial and inspiration can always be found. Whether reading travel guides such as lonely planet books or just books that are based in different places or place you want to travel too. 6. Movies I am always looking for more movies that inspire my wanderlust and these have always been a big motivator for me. Whenever I would have down times I would sit in bed watching movies that made me want to travel and that always made me feel better!
